Ryan's acoustic by candlelight

Does anyone know if you have to be over 21 to go to this show? My 12yr old daughter and 9 yr old son are such fans of CT and Neil is my daughters BIGGEST crush!!! I would love for them to meet these guys.

you would probably want to

you would probably want to call the Venue. I believe most of these solo shows have been 21 and over because of the types of venues they are performing in. but you never know, call them and ask.

You are fairly close to me. I am Irish-American, and proud of it. All my life my mother and my Irish Grandmother made sure I knew of our Irish Heritage.I LOVE CT, but can't find any local Thunderheads. Any advice? I am also hoping to get to one of the concerts this year, maybe get lucky enough to meet them afterwards. I am hoping to meet other Thunderheads.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and did not answer. From the looks of things, Thunderheads in STL never meet. It has been a LONG time since going out, but my favorite Irish pub has always been McGurk's in Soulard. Just a little over a week to the concert at the Fox. Can't wait!!!

transportation

sorry winters child i booked the super shuttle for $18 each way with tip. the car shuttles were too much and not know when you would be getting in or leaving I couldn't risk the cost of the 3 passenger shuttle at $40 each way plus tip.

Hope to see you there or maybe even on flight if you do same airtran flights they were the lowest and best times so far

Super Shuttle

That is Shuttle recommended by PBS contact when I got ticket.
Had booked Ark on Monday instead of MO. Only realized that late today.
Now have to change arrival date for Ark - added Sunday CT since going to Keith's on Monday.

Just booked Culhanes flight for Oct 11 hoping storms cooperate next Tues!!!! Will look for Airtran - Delta connections out of my town for Ark is simpler, but with no luggage for this one, should be easy enough to make connection.

Thanks for the super shuttle reminder.

Orlando nasty, scary shuttle

All this is after 2010 Orlando Show, last of tour. Scary ride - $47.00 one way to hotel - with other clean van sitting loaded up - wouldn't let me ride it, refunded ticket, said I have to have gotten it 20 minutes earlier. Left with choice of dirty, nasty - looked like person lived in front of - SUV with baby seat and tons of trash and clothing, reeked of perfumed spray to disguise odor - spoke in foreign language (islands)- on phone whole 30 minute ride - windows down with air conditioning going full blast - humid warm day - I was terrified. I pretended my phone was on vibrate and kept up a running conversation with pretend friends waiting for me at the hotel. Though I was kidnapped for sure!!! Laugh now, but it was scary.
$17.00 shared shuttle back to airport with Mears, with Heather from Canada. Clean SUV this time. I should have reserved shuttle ride before leaving and should have used Mears.
I don't think I could ever again go to Orlando, not ever, ever! At least the show was wonderful, Keith in the gray suit!!!! Stunning!!!when he walked out in that suit mid show. Still have that "photographic view" in my mind's eye.

MO filming & Little Rock and AETN Keith

Super Shuttle round trip, I will do that. Have ticket. If that is the Aladin Holliday Inn which gives PBA discount, I am concerned with dirty room review. This is hotel PBA personnel recommended and offered to drive me there after concert.
She also mentioned Hilton. My super expensive Delta ticket has its final change (150 dollars each change: Balt to Philly (out 205 for unsold ticket Tower Philly Sunday 9/25 - friend couldn't resell, so mailing her a check tomorrow - UGH!!! She got it through a scalper site instead of through here or PBA; I returned Lancaster ticket to purchaser after cancellation, so Philly was out)& now to KC, MO. Probably other Thunderheads will share shuttle ride. I have to pre-book that.

Trying to arrange flight to Little Rock, AR for Sunday concert and then Mon. Keith/Rebecca/Emmet concert AETN in Conway, 30 miles North through lake area. Worried about road condition after flooding. Haven't booked flight yet for LR International. Don't want to use Delta again - way too expensive. Looking for someone going there. Keep getting the two confused. if know of anyone driving to Conway from LR and back to airport, would appreciate a heads up. Hoping to share a ride with Thunderheads.

Ripped off big time 1000 dollars in Clearwater last Nov. for awful rental made week or two before show, wouldn't refund unless 30 day notice and I hadn't even rented it in time for that - at Indian Rocks - found a Hilton - not expensive at all and clean. Bad hotel choice in Melbourne Beach, found a Hilton and they didn't charge me for cancellation. I trust Hilton and they are not too expensive. Don't want to make any more bad decisions on hotels. Culhane's Keith in March at Atlantic Beach - nasty smoking room in recommended hotel after I changed from the one I had reserved, slept in long sleeves and long pjs, no shower before 8 hr drive home - didn't like it, but gave full refund.
Oh, the joys of travel to unknown places. Panhandle FL, Seagrove spoiled me.

Storm airing on KETCTV in ST. Louis

Does anyone know if or when KETCTV in St Louis is airing "Storm"? I called during pledge drive and was told they didn't have anything for Celtic Thunder.

What a disappointment!

What a disappointment! :'(
Whenever it's on in STL, I usually have at least one friend text me to let me know, I have a bit of a reputation... Laughing out loud

I called and emailed KETC and

I called and emailed KETC and they are not going to air Storm or any CT this pledge drive. They said that last pledge drive CT didn't do very well, so they wasn't promoting them this time. I think they didn't have the calls like the past is because they didn't air the show as much as the past pledge drives. We will just have to hope they do CT pledge drives when they can offer tickets again. I have been spreading the word about CT at the Fox Theatre hoping we can get them a sold out crowd.

Tickets @ KETC St. Louis

I just talked to them also. She told me they did have tickets for the show in Oct. I didn't ask about a M & G though.
Elaine O.

call during the work day and

call during the work day and ask to speak to the programming manager and request Storm.

I had friends call KETC also, I figure the more people that call the better chance we can get them to have CT on their next pledge drive.

Becoming a Thunderhead,

I have a friend who recently became a fan of Celtic Thunder and she wants to become a thunderhead as soon as possible, but I became a thunderhead on the old website, so I'm not sure how to do it here... can anyone help me? Please and thanks!

Thanks Fiddlequeen, great banner!

Ryan loves us! ;)

Ok kinda random, but during Ryan's rapid fire Q & A (or whatever you want to call it) on February 26th, this tweet made me happy Smile

RyanKellyCT: .@Joelle777 favorite venue in the States?> Radio City is still the fave, but the Fox Theatres come pretty close!!

I'm guessing he's including the St Louis Fox as one of the Fox Theaters since after the show last October he said

RyanKellyCT: The St. Louis crowd were insane!! Great gig as usual! The Fox never seems to disappoint! Oh, more albums will be with cdbaby in the morning!

Congrats crazed Missouri CT fans! Haha Smile

Missouri Thunderheads!

Hello, everyone. I have been reading the blogs for a while now, but have just finally gotten the guts to sign on. I am glad I was not the only one asked to sit down at the last concert. During the "Take Me" home concert, it seemed as though we were standing all the time. It was so much fun.

Can someone tell me how they found out about how they got to be inside with Keith and Ryan.

My mom and I have already started saving for their next St. Louis concert.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info.

Hi Lissa Ann - I believe you

Hi Lissa Ann - I believe you are talking about the taping at PBS with Keith and Ryan, If you join e-mailing list for KETC 9 you get e-mails from them about what's going on. I didn't go to it, wishing I had gone anyway, but hoping they do it again this year. It cost $100.00 but it goes towards helping PBS put on great shows like Celtic Thunder, you were able to watch the taping of the show and I believe they had refreshments too. When they aired the taping all the fans who did go were sitting behind Jay Perry Keith and Ryan, I was kicking myself for not going, Keith was in a great mood and when Jay was asking him questions like his favorite movie and who he looked up to all his replies were Ryan, it was so funny.
Glad to see you join the forum, I was like you, would read but never joined in, but after reading all the post and then talking to so many fans who were on CDbaby.com waiting for Ryan's album to come out I had a fun time and everyone was so nice, the CT fans are so nice it's fun talking with them. I don't get on as much because I work on a computer all day and sometimes just don't want to be on when I get home, but I do pop in from time to time to see what' going on.

----

That would be a meet and mingle. If you pledge to a PBS station which is hosting one you can get tickets for the concert they are hosting the meet and mingle at. These tickets go quickly during the early pledge periods at many PBS stations so you have to be on them like a hawk to make sure you can get a pair. They are kind of expensive, but remember that you are helping to support the programming at your local PBS station and it is tax deductible too. Which come tax time many folks find to be quite a bonus.

Hey cocadancer11!
I was at the show on the 22nd too. Row U, though Sad Not as close as I would have liked, but that's what my parents were willing to spend Smile I was lucky enough to go with my best friend this year, which always makes things a little crazier. The people around us were laughing at us the whole time and I think we got told to sit down a few times...but it was so much fun to go with her. Anyway, I'm glad you started this!

Hey Cocadancer11 - I guess we are the only ones who've found their way to this site. Wasn't the show so awesome Friday night???!!!! I had such a good time, and was only 6 rows away on the right side of the stage, I think I was one of the only yelling and dancing on that side, at least I didn't see anyone in front of or next to me, they were clapping, but that was about all. So have you met any of the Lads ? I haven't and I'm hoping that next year I can snag me a M&G, and hopefully next year PBS will again allow the fans to pay to watch a taping with some of the lads like they did with Keith and Ryan, still kicking myself for not doing that. Well glad you started Missouri Thunderheads, it was so cool that George thought we were one of the best so far, you could tell they were feeding off our hoots and hollering. Can not wait for them to come back again.

Hey Stacey, I too was at the

Hey Stacey, I too was at the St. Louis show. VIP 4 Row F. My friend and I were about the only ones in our section that were standing and yelling too. It's so much better when you can get with a group that's a little more lively. I tried to get M&M tickets but didn't have any luck so got regular PBS tickets instead. I did manage to go to the PBS taping with Keith and Ryan and that was awesome. Hopefully next year they will do it again.

Hi Christina - I was in VIP 5

Hi Christina - I was in VIP 5 Row F -I believe I saw you and your friend. How funny, I was to the right of you. I am so jealous you got to go to the PBS taping, I was stupid and didn't go because I felt funny going by myself. I go to the shows with my dad, don't have any friends into CT like I am. I hope they have another PBS taping because this time I will go, also hope to get M&M next tour. Maybe I'll see you there. I am noticing that CT has an older fan base and not all young skinny hot looking chicks - I'm 42 yrs old, not skinny, not hot looking, but pretty, so I wouldn't feel so uncomfortable, I love the CT fans, everyone seems to be so nice even though they don't know you. I can't wait for Heritage to come out, I have been dying to see them dance again and hear the songs, I listen to nothing but CT, Ryan, Neil and Paul's CD's, spring 2011 is so far away it seems. well maybe we'll chat again, nice to know more St Louis fans

Hi Stacey, Sorry it has taken

Hi Stacey, Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. I don't check the forum often enough. I was fortunate enough to have a friend that bought 2 tickets to the PBS taping and she offered one to me. I wasn't going to try for a ticket because I had to leave for work and there just wasn't time. I'm so thankful I got the chance to go. It was really a fun night. When they start selling tickets for the fall tour next year you have to be fast in order to get the M&M tickets. They sell fast! I had a friend ordering our tickets last year and even though she called the second they went on sale she was told they were sold out. I hope we get a chance to meet at the show next year. I've already bought my tickets for the Chicago show next December. That seems to be a lifetime away. Are you on facebook?
