Hallelujah (Performed by Neil Byrne, Ryan Kelly, and Keith Harkin)

I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for the music, do you?
Well, it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah.

Hallelujah Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah

Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you
To her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
It's not a cry that you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelu-

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Thanks Neil, Ryan & Keith. Love it

I love this song! Their

I love this song! Their voices sound so amazing together, and this song is so beautiful and relaxing. I love the hallelujah's.
Great stuff!

Thank you Celtic Thunder for your music!

I love all the harmonies, and

I love all the harmonies, and it's great to hear Neil on his own for the first verse.

Still, in the end, are they doing 3 part harmony?? All I'm sure is that Ryan is doing the low part, not sure whether Keith or Neil is doing the top part. It sounds kinda like Keith, but I could be wrong.

They have always done amazing songs but this one is one of my most favorites!

I must say it again - I LOVE this song! I play it over and over in my car and sing along. Really beautiful.

OMG!! I love this song soooooooooo much. i play it over and over and over again. i cant wait till the group comes to my city. i just love these guys

Keith's voice comes in so strong and resonant...his voice is just beautiful in this song...not that I don't love everything he sings.

This is the stand-out number on the new DVD. Neil, Keith and Ryan sound great together. This song alone is worth buying the DVD and CD. Great song and great vocals!

Can't Wait!

I'm loving this song so much! Can't wait to hear the whole thing.

Also loving how dashing Ryan looks in his suit Wink hehe

Last January, I wrote a comment on Ryan's music page--I asked him to sing Hallelujah in a future show or on a CD...Little did I know that my wish was becoming a reality because of the vision of Sharon and Phil...The teaser video that I've seen from Ryan, Keith and Neil is even more beautiful than I could have imagined!...The harmonies of those 3 voices is exquisite!...So I am waiting, along with all of you, to hear the magic of that song plus the fabulous voices from CT in "It's Entertainment!"...Always a CT Fan--DeeDee

I have been emailing...

I too, have been emailing Sharon, and all the guys to sing the song too! From facebook, to myspace and you tube. I didn't get to see the USA tour, the closest it came was Nashville TN, and my husband was recovering from surjury, but to see the sneak peek was like my Christmas Gift!

I'm LOVING how Ryan still

I'm LOVING how Ryan still uses his intense "Dark Destroyer" expression in this =)

Imagine whirled peas.

Aha! I know, I totally noticed that too. I showed my mom and she was like, "Why does that one guy always stand with his legs spread apart?" I said, "Mother. That is Ryan. He ALWAYS has the Dark Destroyer face/posture."

Keith's evil laugh made my year Smile

Absolutely Beautiful

Since I didn't have the priveledge to be at the Toronto taping I was so very happy to see this little tesase of this amazing song. Even though it was way too short now i know what everyone is talking about. How absolutely beautiful Neil's, Ryan's and Keith's voices blend. It sent a chill up my spine when I fist saw it and I keep playing it over and over again. I can not wait until Feb 9th so I finally get to hear and see the whole song!!!!
Please give us more tiny sneak peeks
Thank you,

Louise Siederer

Just wanted to join the ranks

Just wanted to join the ranks of those that can't wait for IE to be released so I can see the full version of this hauntingly beautiful song over and over again. I didn't think it was possible to love anymore songs as much as I do all the earlier releases by CT, but after seeing all the new ones in Toronto I can honestly say they will go right to the top of my favorites list. This one in particular is fabulous and I love that Neil was given a new role with the group. His harmony with Ryan and Keith is like listening to angels sing. sigh......

It was wonderful hearing this

It was wonderful hearing this song live in Toronto; cannot wait to re-visit the song over and over again on the DVD!! The combo of Ryan, Neil and Keith is perfection! Smile

Thank you, Ryan, for everything!!

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

WOW The Video

Just heard the Video of Hallelujah, over and over again way to short.
Hauntingly beautiful the blend of their voices is absolutely amazing.
Please, we need to here more of this song, February is a very long way off.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!(and now that I've screamed myself to death...)

I think I played that video at least 30 times in the last ten minutes. This made my night. Seriously. It made my week is more like it.

OMG Neil! I had no clue he could sing like that! OMG!

That video is WAY too short. I need to see more very soon.

7 hours, 4 bus rides, 3 hours standing in the snow, 2 trips to B&N, and 1 pair of leaky boots, but I did it!!!

Not even the Snow-pocalypse can keep me from Celtic Thunder!!!!!!

I agree with everything said

I agree with everything said above me.
With that said, I'm going to go calm myself down by running a mile now.
Or...not. I'm going to go watch it again Laughing out loud

Imagine whirled peas.

I absolutely love this song.

I absolutely love this song. The guys sing it great.

There is Team Edward and Team Jacob... Well I'm on Team Damian!

I've always thought Ryan and Keith blended well because they have similar voice qualities (both with a little raspiness). Neil and Keith seem to sing in a very similar tonal range, even though Neil's voice has more clarity-no raspiness-to it. Combine the 3 of them together and the harmonies are stunning!

Don't Know Much But...

I don't know much about music, however I do know the arrangement was beautiful!

love.....love....LOVE THIS

love.....love....LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!! ♥ There version gave me chills

♥ It takes 1 hour to love his voice ♥
♥ It takes 1 day to fall in love with him ♥
♥ It takes 1 lifetime to forget him♥

I discribe this song as

I discribe this song as "hauntingly" beautiful... it's really gorgeous, and I can't wait to hear Neil, Keith and Ryan. Our youth sings it sometimes as a special, and they about make me cry. I bet I *will* tear up with the CT lads.

But I have to admit, I'm not crazy about the lyrics. But I guess that's life... and hallelujah to that.

In my next life, I want to be Neil's guitar.

This was definitely one of the highlights for me in Toronto! The song and the harmonies are incredible and Neil gave me goosebumps when he started off the song. Nice to see him come out from behind his guitar (and drums and all other types of instruments!) I absolutely cannot wait to hear it again on cd.

Favorite. Song. EVER.
Well one of my favorites, because I can't choose just one. But I have loved this song wayy before CT, and now that the three lads are singing it, I'm going to love it even more! I can't describe how wonderful they all sound together though...still searching for an adequate description.
SO beautiful. Big smile
